I am now almost finished The Kite Runner and so far I am simply flabbergasted by it's beauty.
I expect to finish it tomorrow on my four hour trip to St-John, NB, Canada (If there are perhaps any out of towners reading this. One must be politicly correct, no idea is that is how you write it.). Yes people I am going to St-John for a dance competition so as much as would love to post I simply can not or it's highly unlikely.
Talking about The Kite Runner. I would rate it... 14A maybe but think that if you're mature enough for a ltiny bit of sexual commentation (okay maybe not a tiny bit, but in comparaison with the Pillars of the Earth...) and some mature content I'm sure you'll be okay. For me, it's always been important to read more mature books so that I wouldn't be like some of the guys in my class who take some very serious issues (e.g. rape) lightly.
The book is inevitably serious and sad I suppose, nostalgic as well, but it is truly a work of art. AND it's the first book on my list of books that I must read soon. Always a plus.
